As a course author you are now able to select a new tracking mode in the Tracking tab of Project Properties: Experience API V1.0 (Tin Can). When a project is published with this set, it then includes a 'tincan.xml' file containing the activity definitions for the content, as discussed at: https://github.com/RusticiSoftware/launch/blob/master/lms_lrs.md
If the content is then launched from a LMS that supports TinCan, the content will use the settings passed in via the request URL to communicate with the TinCan LRS.
The content uses the TinCan state to save the suspend data and student location, and send course interactions as statements.
Course start is tracked with a "http://adlnet.gov/expapi/verbs/attempted" statement, and completion with a "http://adlnet.gov/expapi/verbs/completed" statement. The completion statement includes the student's score if course scores are enabled.
Note that currently content which uses TinCan tracking does not support the HTML5 interaction SCORM API.
