Here is a summary of this LMS release
Non completion report
This is a new report (available from the Reports | Report generator) that enables administrators and/or members of the Reporter role to run a report that shows who has NOT completed a selected piece of content. This is useful to track non-compliance for example. In common with other reports, delegated reporters can run this report only over their designated cohort.
Administrators are now able to reset the history for a selected user for a selected course. While not typically used in the day to day operations of the LMS, this is an important capability in some scenarios. For example, if a user locks themselves out of an assessment due to them reaching the maximum (content defined) number of retry attempts, this reset history operation lets the admin reset the assessment for the user. This feature is also often required following content testing when the history for the testers needs to be cleared. To clear the history for a specified user, click the user in question from the Users page, and then click Content from the middle panel. This lists all assigned content. To reset the history for a selected item of content, click the content item and then set the status in the resulting drop down box to Not attempted/Not viewed. In addition to resetting the user’s status by voiding any previous activity statements sent to the Learning Record Store (LRS), this operation also clears any suspend data containing book mark state. This ensures that the user will next launch the content as if it is their first time launch.
Arbitrary file replacement
Admins can now use the “replace” functionality to replace an arbitrary file with an arbitrary file of a different type. E.g. you can now replace a Word doc with a PDF doc. Note that SCORM and TinCan course content can still only be replaced by the equivalent type.
Further infrastructure hardening
Additional server hardening has resolved all known issues.
