The Agylia LMS certification feature has been enhanced with new functionality which allows administrators to:
- Define when a certificate awarded to a learner expires. This is configured as part of the certification definition, and supports expiry specified as a fixed date, and expiry specified as a period from when the certification is awarded.
- Import details of certifications that learners have gained externally, including their award dates, scores and expiry dates. This allows the migration of information from legacy systems, and/or batch importing new certifications, where learners have completed the certification with an external provider.
- Report on the certifications logged on the LMS (see the details below relating to the new certification reports).
Learners now see expiry dates (if defined) for any certifications they have achieved in their learner portal on their Achievements page.
The Explained: Certifications article provides an overview of the certification feature.
Please contact the support team, if you need any existing certificate templates updated to include expiry dates.
New certification reports
The existing Certification report has been retired, and has been replaced with two new reports, the Certificate details report and the Certification status report. The new Certificate details report is very similar to the old Certifications report and enables you to obtain the similar information. This includes details of all certificates issued for a particular certification both current and historic for the selected users. The new Certification Status report details the current user certification status for the selected certification(s). Statuses can include Never, Current, or Expired. Where a user has been awarded a certification the first issue date, as well as the most recent issue and expiration dates are included in the report.
